Community creation is the ultimate tool of engagement
Do you have a brand new or innovative idea for a mod for a game you love, but lack the proper resources to take your next steps? Overwolf is here to help through its Creator Fund.
Publish your creation on CurseForge
Kickstart your mod development
Grant based investments
Thanks to support from modding platform Overwolf, Feed the Beast has added advertisements to its “Minecraft” launcher, monetizing its modpacks for the first time. With millions of regular users, that revenue has gone a long way — and in only a few months, this small adjustment has helped Feed the Beast move into a physical office in London and hire nine employees, including several mod developers.
Frequently asked questions
Can I request funding for a project that is already on CurseForge?
The Creators Fund is meant to enable developers to create new and fresh content that is missing from CurseForge. Normally it is not intended to support or maintain existing projects. That being said, if you feel there’s a specific reason why your live project could use funding, please let us know in your submission.
Can I request funding to mod a game that is not on CurseForge?
Yes. All mods are welcomed.
I am a modpack creator, not a mod creator - does the funding apply for me as well?
Yes. Addons, libs, mods, modpack and any type of community creation is welcomed.
Can I request funding for a mod related project which isn’t an actual mod?
Yes. Any type of community creation is welcomed. Please be very specific in your application so we can learn the subject properly.
If I receive funding, will I still be able to enroll to the reward program?
Yes. You get to have both.
What is the size of the grant I can receive?
It depends on how popular or innovative your creation is, as well as the effort needed to level up the project. Please note that the funding is aimed to allow new creations or major overhauls.
Am I expected to only publish my mod on CurseForge to receive funding? (Exclusivity)
No, we do not ask for exclusivity. In addition to CurseForge you can continue publishing your mod on any mod repository you like to.
